black flowers bloom
and now i'm back at work again.
you know with school its not quite so obvious, esp cos now in uni lects are quite ponnable, and our timetables are quite flexi.
but honestly since i've started working an actual 5-day, 8-hr work week beginning at 8.30 A frickin M...i live for the weekends.
CHEERRRSS!!
Friday was dinner with the lovelies, i havent seen ashton and lang for the longest time. anyway as usual we were making sucha loud racket at Speggedies but guess what. we got ourselves free dessert! on the house, cos... we're hot! hahaha i wish la. but i thought it was a pretty nice gesture for late orders, i mean esp after all the unreasonable demands we made about the tables and ashton's prawnsss. my god. and smelly kelllyyy found her MR SMALL hehe. racheeell the PS was MIA until like laterrr.. met her at liat towers for a bit. ooh was also the first i saw of somebody's big beautiful face on the BK poster! go see everyone. the picture of the HOT girl at the back :D didnt realise i missed them so much. you know, its easy to get lost in our own lives but when i see them its almost like old times all over again. i love you guys, no matter how annoying mash is. haha <3 was so tired after that i went home and totally KOed.
Dear Sir,
haha i inititally i was very stubborn about not having long conversations going (MRS JEROME TOH) haha but after a while of fooling around it eventually becomes like extended msn. fuuunn!but yah. i'm so gonna die if the IT guy decides to do a spot check.
i realised i have been yakking non stop about my work which is terribly unhealthy. i might become one of those overly stressed up, overly frazzled and overly boring ppl whose life revolves around their corporate agenda.
well. i guess we all still have about a year or two more then.
haha.
tues was dinner with jannana and wed we FINALLY celebrated our bimboness by catching sex and the cityy! haha you wouldn't believe the amount of effort i had to go thru to finally catch it. seems like every ladayy worth their prada handbags or whatever wanted to celebrate their bimboness too haha...couldnt get tix with the girls on fri, couldnt get tix on sat or tues and finally resorted to watching it at ulufied J8 on wed. which was quite a smart suggestion cos seats were good. but still. so unglam. :D
anyway i looovee it!! haha true blue SATC conisseurs didnt really like the movie cos apparently the seasons are better. but honestly for an amateur like me it was fabulousness and bimboticness at its best. (SPOILERS) my fave part was when she was doing the photoshoot for vogue... omg i just sat there drooling at the gowns la. the best was the Oscar De la Renta one with the flower in her hair... sigh. at least i have ideas for my wedding now :D ooh the starting part with the intro and stuff was pretty nice too. and for all the talk about MR BIG i didnt think he was that hot actually... or maybe he was hot last time when the season first started. they all look kinda old now. but oh well.. Samantha Jones is my new role model, she's really, 50 and fabulous. hahaha i think i am gushing so i shall stop now :D
everyonne who hasnt watched it, go watch it! worth your hard earned monayyy. (unlike Indiana jones and the alien skull or whatever. DONT watch it unless you like pointless plots. haha)
apparently SATC is the first movie to be completely funded by sponsorships and product placement. and really, i wouldnt be surprised. there were subtle mentions of Names in conversations, as well as BIG FAT HINTS like the LV bag and who can forget the hot manolo blahniks.
haha yesss. i think i have memorised the movie. time to go find season one!
ok i was cut off round about here but to sum up.
on that sat it was one of those damn clubbing times which i'd live to regret later. and regret i did. to cut a long story short the night ended with me puking outside my corridor, poor chanchan surreptiously trying to clear it up (you're the best bud bud :) ), and my sis trying to distract my mum and failing. which meant this was followed by a lovely morning starting with my mum in a huge flap about yday's episode. so. i was grounded from clubbing. haha.
ok then THAT was like 2 weeks back.
this sunday i got a lil too happy with the bottoms up again, and uh yeaah. the rest is history. or rather history repeated itself.
this time i managed to leave my mark in the lift as well. grouch.
and THIS time my mum was FURIOUS i tell you (i suspect cos chanchan wasnt there to clean it up hurrs). but really not funny, now i'm really and ABSOLUTELY grounded from clubbing/drinking/ whatever she calls it.
and this time she's resolutely not accepting any excuses like "birthday" or whatnot.
i think she's catching on.
boohooo.
i dunno whats with me recently la but i have taken a knack to puking outside my corridor. and therefore inevitably giving my mum proof of my drunken escapades. ugh :(
but honestly, an even more painful lesson was going to WORK on monday. not only was i totally exhuasted and sleepy from the lack of slp, as you can imagine the hangover was really out of this world.
i was so tempted to take MC la but i alr took last week. if it was school i would've just tidah apa-ed it. ironic huh.
anyhow lesson really learnt, i'm not gonna be trying that again in a hurry.
i put it in bold as a reminder, hurrs.
boohooo.
i hafta stay half an hr more than the usual let off cos i took a longer break just now. not like they're petty about it la, we dont have time cards or stuff. but well, its only the right thing to do i guess.
siiiaann...
anyway quite tired of talking (for once huh haha)so i'll keep this a short post. relatively.
Dear Miss Chan,
As we are having a function on Friday please RSVP your attendance. I need to know as the organizing committee is pushing for the numbers that are attending so that they can arrange for “drinks” and of course, complimentary entry for the event. Thanks
sincerely,
Mr Chan

(this was some response to inside joke, dont ask)
Dear Mr C,
We have to admit the FBI secret service has trained you suitably well. Unfortunately you don’t make the cut for L*re*l spy services so regrettably, we have to decline.
If you can enlist agent S and agent G to join the team on Friday we might relook your proposition. Thank you.
Regards,
Agent L

Agent L,
Thank you for the opportunity, I have already forwarded this memo to my other two squad members. However I would like to reiterate that my headquarters has instructions for you to inform me on the most likely possible outcome due to manning purposes for my organization.
Thanks,
Mr C
.
.
Dear Agent L,
I have already informed Agents G and S, however they are unable to come in for review due to other highly classified secret assignments they have to deal with. My headquarters have instructions for you that it is absolutely dire that you look into my application and really consider the thought of hiring my services. Trust me, you will not be disappointed. I will also promise that I will hold back on showing you all my hidden talents under my sleeves.
Regards,
Agent SC

Dear Agent Mars,
That sucks terribly. I am considering sending the delta team to assassinate them since they can no longer fulfill their duties to the squad. The committee shall review their progress and come to a decision at a later date.
Agent L is currently uncertain of her position as she has to ensure she has confirmation pertaining to the location of codename: Mother. As this is a highly secret mission it is of highest importance this individual does not have information privy to our course of action or the consequences will be dire. Agent L faces a lifetime of lockdown in The Cell, doomed to an eternity of nagging and possible insanity.

Agent Venus
Haha I gave us more interesting names!
Dear Ms Fong,
We are writing in to invite you to join the L*r*al club for Tai-Tais, a society with membership so exclusive, so secret and so sought after, only those deemed good enough will actually stand a chance to be considered. We have heard of your impending marriage to Mr Kong, the next big thing in the aerospace industry and we are keen to have membership of your caliber. To tell you more about our club, we spend every Monday chatting over scones and afternoon tea, talking about world issues such as how disappointing the last Hermes sale was, and devise ways to siphon off our husband’s money while they are at work. We also do book reviews- in our latest book club meeting we went through the merits and demerits of the latest Prada consumer brochure, and how effectively it helped the informed shopper make buying decisions. We found it very enlightening.
We would be delighted if you and your partner would attend the next afternoon tea, as a get-to-know-you session as well as to help you size up your husband’s worth. Do RSVP as soon as possible and we look forward to meeting you!
Regards,
Lisa Chan

DEAR MR CHAN,
WE DON'T FEEL LIKE TALKING TO YOU TODAY BECAUSE OBVIOUSLY SOME PEOPLE ARE ENJOYING THEMSELVES AT HOME AND COOKING UP SOME STORY ABOUT THE SHUT DOWN SERVER IN ORDER TO MAKE FUN OF THE PEOPLE HARD AT WORK IN L*R*AL.

Dear Miss Chan
We are truly sorry. It was told that our staff was not well informed of your preferences. We sincerely apologise for and on the behalf of his mistake. Perhaps we can send another one of our clients to make it up to you? We understand that you also have a good taste for martinis. How about tomorrow night if you are feeling up to it. We are confident that you will have fun this time round.
Sincerely
Mr Chan

Dear Mr Chan,
That isn’t a good reason, you should make it your JOB to know then. Yes that is quite an interesting idea, but we would like to casually remind you that THIS TIME it should not be at some two bit beer bar.
Thank you.
Regards,
Lisa Chan
Dear Ms Lisa,
Based on the request from you, I guess we only have one product that suits your company. It's limited edition. There is only one in ASIA at the moment. although it is very costly to your company, however, I believe that this product will benefit your company largely in the future.
Product No: ANT001001
Product Name: A****ny Goh
Date of Manufacture: 11/05/2008 (brand new)
Price USD 1,000,000 (w/o GST) - Negotiable
If your company is keen to get this product, we can provide you more information while we meet up.
Regards,
Mr Goh
.
.
Dear Mr Goh,
Your product does sound very interesting, however we need to certify that this product is fun and bimbo enough for L*r*al, as is our company policy. Also, we would like to know more about the follow up service on the product, as we foresee it being put through a substantial amount of wear and tear. Do let me know what repair and maintenance services will be provided.
We are not averse to the price, since it's literally one in a million.
Please get back to me, and we look forward to working with you in the
near future.
Regards,
Lisa Chan
must.locate. clock.
clock. must. be. spoilt.
boohooo.
unfortunately for me, here they block all concievable forms of distraction.. personal email accounts, facebook, friendster, lj,etc.. they havent discovered blogger yet so i better lie low. hehs. but this is only for those of us lucky enough to get an office email account.. some ppl dont, like the Cow. which is pretty amazing. how do you do communicate then? i guess cos he has to run around alot so i guess no point also.
(i have removed the company emails, first names and personal stuff etcccc becos i am convinced they are watching us. yes. as paranoid as everyone thinks it is, i have learnt never to assume things ever since Mrs Jerome Toh caught us surfing the web during science lesson i think, cos all our comps were linked to the teacher's central computer. no really you dont understand its like looking at KingKong knowing that it is probably thinking of what condiments best to cook you with. that was followed by the very embarrassing episode of public shame standing outside the computer lab. )
anyhows digressing as usual.
Hi Mr Chan,
We request that you send us some of the smart people over at your very official and boring sounding company. We want hot and smart executives, not too big and not too small eyes, not too big and not too small noses, not too big and not too small mouths and not too black but not too brown definitely not red but not blond either hair.
If you are agreeable to this, please send a quotation over and we can negotiate terms.
However we do have a small concern. We don’t really trust people whose names start with “S” so if possible could you get someone else to correspond with us?
Regards,
Lisa Chan
.
.
.
Hi Miss Chan,
Unfortunately the person who is corresponding with you does have a name that starts with S. We know that your company has high expectations of form, figure and brain power. We currently have someone who is available and we would be glad to send him over for your review.
Would you like to see this person’s portfolio?
Regards,
Mr Chan
Hi Mr Quek
It has come to our attention that you have been associating our company with being intelligence-challenged, and using defaming terms such as “bimbo” publicly.
As it is not in the interest of our partnership, we would greatly appreciate if you desist from such action, so we can settle this as amicably as possible without taking legal action.
I look forward to your correspondence, and resolving this issue as soon as possible.
If not you’ll be hearing from our lawyers you fart!
Best regards,
Lisa Chan
.
.
Dear Ms Chan,
It has been researched and widely discussed among the general public that L*re*l employees ARE and 100% certified and proven that they are genetically altered and brain-washed once they step into the organization, and have slowly evolved into the phenomenal acclaimed and widely disputed breed of human beings termed by american teenagers and scientists around the world as being "bimbo". Therefore, I strongly stand by my acknowledgment that Loreal, is, and forever will be, known to me as being bimbotic. I'll see you in court.
Best Wishes and Good luck,
Mr Quek
---
Dear Mr Quek,
I understand you required an urgent correspondence regarding the pressing issue of boredom. Unfortunately, no one was able to give you a reply as we were all out to lunch.
Our advice is to hire a circus act if one is bored, as L*re*l does not provide entertainment services.
We will be happy to send you our empty product bottles which might hopefully provide hours of fun for the dull-witted.
Best Regards,
Lisa Chan
We regret to inform you the person you are trying to contact is currently out of office at the moment.
However, if you act more retarded and beg really nicely her computer wouldn’t mind talking to you.
Thank you.
they say necessity is the mother of invention? rubbish. plain ol boredom is hahaha.
summore next timeee!
haha anyway YAYNESS this week i can TGIF toooo!! no work on sat.
i mean, its fun for all its worth but give me slacking time over work time any day honestly.
